Today we launched our new report, Gold Mining’s Contribution to the UN Sustainable Development Goals. The release coincided with the annual Denver Gold Forum which brings together mining CEOs from around the world to discuss the latest developments in the gold mining industry.
I had the pleasure of chairing a pre-recorded panel with Sandeep Biswas, CEO of Newcrest Mining and Andrew Wray, CEO of Golden Star. We discussed our new report and the contribution both of these companies are making to the SDGs and the challenges that come with mining gold in remote locations as well as how these companies are implementing the Responsible Gold Mining Principles.
