Earlier this month, I attended the Responsible Asset Owner Symposium as a keynote speaker, presenting on 'Sustainable investing for long-term returns, not short-term gains'.
I spoke on the ever changing investor landscape, focusing on the socially responsible investment spectrum and the role that gold can play. As part of the presentation, I also explained what the gold mining industry is doing in regards to its ESG credentials including the Responsible Gold Mining Principles, the industry’s contribution to the UN Sustainable Development Goals and how the industry is working to decarbonise and move to lower GHG emissions.
